Effective writing skills are critical for adult students’ future success. This course is designed to provide an understanding of the knowledge and skills students need to meet the requirements of exit exams and be prepared for college and career opportunities. Content is aligned with the Adult Education Standards with emphasis on both content and instructional techniques for teaching the skills students need to produce different types of writing and understand the purposes, production and distribution of writing. Participants will learn how to design and use contextual, interactive and collaborative lessons and activities to enhance instruction
